The Mystery "12" - Black or Blue Markings - SOLVED!

Die wahre Blaue 12 der 8./JG 6 / The true Blue 12 of 8th/JG 6

Die folgende Maschine des Jagdgeschwaders 6 sorgt seit langer Zeit für heftige Diskussionen bezüglich der tatsächlichen Farbe der Gruppen und Staffelmarkierungen. Am späten Nachmittag des 8. Mai 1945 übergaben verbliebene Teile des JG 6 nach der Flucht aus den östlichen Frontgebieten ihre flugfähigen Maschinen auf dem Flugfeld Fürth bei Nürnberg im Süden Deutschlands der 10. Aufklärungsgruppe der US-Streitkräfte.

An diesem Tage entstanden neben den üblichen Schwarz-Weiß-Aufnahmen auch einige Farbfotografien der Focke Wulf 190 "Dora" mit der Werknummer 500570. Trotz der eigentlich hervorragenden Dokumentation dieser aufgrund ihres Lackierungszustandes sehr interessanten Maschinen gingen die Meinung über die Staffelmarkierungen auseinander.

Nun, mit Erscheinen des des Buches "Focke Wulf Fw-190 D Camouflage & markings Part II" von JaPo Publishing sind die Fakten anhand von intensiven Untersuchen nun geklärt, es handelt sich bei der gefundenen Maschine um die "Blaue 12" der 8. /JG 6!

Ich habe nun diese Maschine so gut wie möglich umgesetzt und hoffe sie gefällt euch. Ganz korrekt kann sie mit dem in IL-2 genutzten 3D-Modell leider nicht werden, das die Rumpfverlängerung nur von einer Seite bemalt werden kann und somit einseitig in jeden Fall fehlerhaft bleibt! Aber ich hoffe ihr könnt damit leben ;)

The following airplane of the Jagdgeschwader 6 is and was discussed since long time because of its real colouring of the Group and Wing markings. On late afternoon of the 8^thMay 1945 parts of the Jagdgeschwader 6 surrendered to the 10^th Reconnaissance Group of the U.S. Army at Fürth airfield close to Nuremburg in southern Germany.

Besides the Black and White shots several Colour photos was made of the Focke Wulf 190 "Dora" with the W.Nr. 500570. Even with these extreme high amount of photographic Information's, evidence and Documents the correct colouring of the group and wing markings are in question.

Now, the Mystery is solved! With the new book of "Focke Wulf Fw-190 D Camouflage & markings Part II" by JaPo Publishing all the fact are clearly investigated and now it is claer that the plane was a "Blue 12" assigned to the 8^th/JG 6!

I have drawn the plane as good as I can related to the wonderful photos and profiles given in the book, but still there are some flaws related to the 3D-Model in IL-2, the extension plug is only draw able on one side, the other is mirrored, so in any case there will be a mistake within the paint scheme. But I hope you can live with it ;)
